Properties of Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

The acidity is correct and absolutely one of the finest skin care oil products ever produced. It is high in anti-oxidants, essential fatty acids, minerals, vitamins, natural enzymes and ferments. Cell membranes contain fatty acids that are highly susceptible to 'free radical' damage. Real olive oil contains polyphenols, vitamin E and other natural anti oxidants that help to prevent this damage. It is more expensive than pure olive oil but the benefits are are well worth the extra cost as it is really good for skin. Pure olive oil is usually not so pure, made up from the pulp that is left over from Extra Virgin olive oil, you can imagine it can be hard trying to squeeze oils out of a previously pressed olive, so they add chemical solvents to help. The solvent does evaporate and then a little drop of Extra Virgin olive oil is added to bring back some natural colour. This Badger range uses only the finest quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil from harvests in Spain. The Olive oil use is first cold pressed, meaning  pressed from the pulp of fresh picked ripe olives using a method that keeps the Olive Oil at a low temperature thus preserving the nutrients.
