Sprouters

Grow your own Organic sprouts with our easy to use sprouters

Sprouters are the easy solution for growing healthy organic sprouts. Home grown sprouts are highly nutritious and can contain 400% more protein than lettuce and 3900% more beta carotene. Because home grown spouts are fresher, they contain higher levels of nutrients. The process of germination transforms the nourishment in the seed into a more usable form. There is a higher vitamin content and proteins are transformed into their readily digested building blocks - amino acids, which the body can digest easily. Sprouts are very rich in minerals in a highly bio-available form and they are also a great source of enzymes - the catalysts involved in many of the body’s metabolic processes. They are rich in antioxidants and phyto-chemicals, which can help boost the immune system. When exposed to sunlight during the last stage before harvest, sprouts become rich in chlorophyll, a known blood builder and cleanser.

Studies have shown that broccoli and other types of sprout contain exceptionally high levels of a natural cancer fighting compound called sulforaphane which is 20 – 50 times more than in mature broccoli. Sprouts are an alkalizing, living food which continue to grow and gain vitamins after being harvested.

Little maintenance is required using a sprouter and sprouts can be grown without the use of soil, in small areas such as flats & small kitchens within 3-6 days. By growing your own sprouts you will save yourself money as it is a lot cheaper to buy the sprout seeds, grow and harvest the sprouts than buying them in a shop & you can control which varieties of sprout you add to your diet, unlike from a supermarket. They are also higher in nutriotin when grown from home and when using our Organic seeds you will be growing them free of pesticides & fertilisers.

They are a great raw food to be added to anyone's diet including vegetarians and vegans. We have also found for kids, (they never eat enough vegetables) add them to there sandwiches, salads, pasta and you will be providing them with the highest level of nutrition any vegetable can provide & in such small quantities, so they won't complain.

Effective 3-tier sprouting system

The stacking system of the sprouter tray separators allow a healthy circulation of air around each layer of sprouts. Once you have soaked your seeds for sprouting overnight, you spread them out evenly in the trays and stack the trays on top of the reservoir. You then water from above and the water rinses and drains through each layer of sprouts to collect in the reservoir at the bottom. Keep them watered regularly and in a few days you will have a supply of these nutrient-packed little plantlets for adding to salads and stir-fry’s.

The sprouter design is simple but made with robust material which is UV resistant as well as being shock and scratch resistance too.
