pHion Red contains:
Black Currant Extract (225mg per serving): The leaves have diuretic, cleansing, diaphoretic and febrifuge qualities. They have also been shown to help to increase bodily resistance to infections and are a valuable remedy for treating colds and flu. Black Currant has also been used to treat arthritis and to stimulate the immune system. Black Currant is a good source of minerals and vitamins, especially vitamin C. By encouraging the elimination of fluids the leaves help to reduce blood volume and thereby lower blood pressure.
Linden Flower Extract (100mg per serving): This herb has excellent acid draining qualities. It is also recommended for rheumatism, kidney stones, and gall stones. Linden tea was known in ancient times as the "Royal Nectar" for its natural sweetness and healing qualities.
Elder Flower Extract (275mg per serving): The flowers from elder are sweat-stimulating as well as diuretic. They also make a very pleasant and flavorful tea. Elder flower is often used to help "break a sweat" in a flu victim.
Burdock Root Extract (300mg per serving): Burdock is a strong liver purifying and hormone balancing herb which is helpful for the body. Burdock, most notable property is its ability to neutralize most poisons, relieving both the kidney and lymphatic system. Burdock root is a famous detoxifying agent. Its diuretic effect helps the kidneys quickly filter acids from the blood. The volatile oils in burdock promote sweating to further eliminate toxins and acids through the skin. Burdock increases circulation to the skin, helping to detoxify skin tissue. This purification removes the burden from the kidneys and liver.

How It Works
One of the primary causes of pH imbalance and acidification is the insufficient elimination of acids. There are two types of acids; strong acids and weak acids:
Weak acids like citric acid, pyruvic acid, oxalic acid, acetic acid and tartaric acid are found in fruits and vegetables. These types of acids are relatively unproblematic, and are rather easy to neutralize and eliminate.
Strong acids in our bodies, like uric acid, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid and nitric acid primarily come from animal protein. These acids are like the battery acid in your car. These types of acids are very problematic, directly contributing to illnesses like gout, kidney stones and even heart disease.
These acids compromise the pH Balance of the tissues and fluids of the body. Strong acids must be excreted by the kidneys or the skin because they contain sulfur, phosphorus or nitrogen which cannot break down into water and carbon dioxide to be eliminated in the same way that weak acids are.
Organs responsible for the elimination of acids are the kidneys, the skin, and the lungs. The skin and kidneys are able to eliminate strong acids. The lungs on the other hand eliminate the weak or volatile acids. When a weak acid combines with water, it is converted into carbonic acid which then breaks apart into carbon dioxide and water.
You breathe out the carbon dioxide and pass the water out through your kidneys. The quantity of acids that the kidneys and skin eliminate each day may not match the quantity of acids consumed or produced by the body on that day. It is important to stimulate the kidneys and skin to increase the amounts of acids they filter and void.
While an abundant supply of liquid encourages elimination, it is also possible to increase the quantities of acids eliminated from the body by stimulating the kidneys filtration capacities with diuretic (urination producing) medicinal plants. These plants and herbs allow the kidneys to handle much larger quantities of toxins in order to get rid of those toxins much more quickly.
Through the action of the herbal extracts in pHion Red, the kidneys first eliminate the wastes that are burdening it. Once this has been accomplished, the kidneys cleanse the blood of any acids it is holding. Then the acids embedded a little deeper in the tissues are free to enter the circulatory system and be transported to the kidneys. Once these acids have been eliminated, those embedded even deeper in the tissues enter the circulatory system for eventual removal. Such an elimination process reaches progressively deeper tissues until the body finally reaches a state of balance.
