1: Filtering
The first thing the ioniser does to the tap water is filter it, using a combination of bacteriological and particulate control, incorporating activated charcoal capable of neutralising up to 650 different bacteria. By changing your filter at regular intervals you are assured of the continued inner hygiene of the filter. Within the filter, water passes through an ultrafine filtration process, which removes the following elements:
What it DOESN'T filter out is soluble minerals.
This means that unlike a distiller or reverse osmosis devices, the water retains it’s mineral content, the way it is always found in nature since as far back as the time when we emerged from the sea. In actual fact, if you put fish in demineralised water, they will die – a fair indication that minerals are both useful and required in water for good health.
So after the filter has done its job, you have purified, mineralized water ready for ionising. (soluble minerals only – ones that cannot dissolve in water, do not get through the filter).

The filter also has another component which contributes to the purification and ionisation process –Tourmaline.
Added Tourmaline
Added Tourmaline generates Far Infra Red (FIR) that improves the energy level of water. It acts like a 'supercharger', assisting the water ioniser to both ionise and alkalise. Tourmaline has an immediate and powerful effect on water in the filter. Surfactant effect increases by around 100%. It also negatively ionises minerals in the water and supports extra negative ionisation in the water alkaliser (24,140/cc) / FIR (96%)

2: Ionising
Your water now enters the Ionisation cell. Here it is subjected to a controlled specific magnetic field, which causes the soluble minerals in it to be attracted to either a positive 'pole' or a negative 'pole' depending on their own valency, or electrical energy signature.
When this happens, the water separates into alkaline and acid streams. We drink the alkaline water and we use the acid water externally, to assist with skin, and disinfecting.
The real beauty of this process is the fact that the minerals in the water that flow out with the alkaline water are all beneficial, and bio-available. The minerals that flow out with the acid water are, in the main, not suitable for drinking.
Thus, you drink purified, beneficially mineralised alkaline super-hydrating water.
Minerals and mineral compounds such as sulphur and fluoride, flow out in the acid water.
At the same time, the alkaline water undergoes a profound change.
From ordinary H20 it becomes OH-. This means it becomes a powerful antioxidant formula at an atomic level.
3: Drinking
It also means that it changes the way its molecules group together. Instead of 'clumping' in large groups of 12 molecules, it gathers in much smaller (around half the size) groups. This change of molecular form also means, according to Dr. Hidemitsu Hayashi, of the Japanese Water Institute, that it gains the ability to penetrate tissue and cell walls far more easily. Many people report experiencing detoxification effects in the first few weeks of drinking the water, as it may infiltrate areas that have not been reachable with ordinary H2O. This is what is called 'Microclustered' water.
